LEAD IMPACT is proud to present an original documentary by Benjamin Cal Rossman, Energi di Indonesia, which is the Capstone project Ben created to complete his Master of Science in Global Affairs (MSGA) degree at New York University in May 2023.
Meet The Director
Benjamin Rossman is a documentarian and a passionate leader in the south-east Asian region. His work pertains to the Energy & Environment sector where he was first introduced to the field while finishing high school in Indonesia. While living in Indonesia, he also acquired the ability to learn Bahasa Indonesia (the official recognized language) and parts of Bahasa Jawa (one of the main languages used on the island of Java). Ben spent several months as an Intern for Geo Group of Companies where he has gained great knowledge in the extraction of critical minerals such as Nickel, in Indonesia.
Ben obtained a Master of Science Degree at New York University in Global Affairs, with a concentration in Environment/Energy Policy. His Capstone pertained to his most recent documentary about Indonesia’s energy grid titled “Energi di Indonesia” which can be found here.
Prior to NYU, Ben studied at West Virginia University and obtained dual degrees in International Studies & Geography, with a Minor in Political Science. Living in Morgantown, West Virginia, Ben was able to observe modern trends of energy transitions in the Appalachian Region.
Much of Ben’s work lies in the country of Indonesia where he has had countless interviews with government officials, T.V. and Radio hosts, and even traveling to all the main islands to motivate learning institutions on the importance of maintaining peace and globalization.
