LEAD IMPACT is committed as an Institute to the noble mission of learning via different approaches to education – in-person to bring together youth studying together in different regions of the world, hybrid encompassing in-person as well as online engagement, and technology-mediated, which integrates the most innovative opportunities to communicate in community online across continents. Each LEAD IMPACT Initiative, ranging from transnational migration funded by a grant to contemporary art that showcases the works of known artists to philanthropy, aims to empower local actors from the ground up, thereby allowing development to occur in an organic and strategic manner with the sustainable transformation of specific areas in mind.
LEAD IMPACT is a forward-looking Institute that develops Certificate Programs, which offer a combination of specific content and individualized placements.
These Programs aim to stimulate the interests of young students who aspire to acquire experience and insights in gender empowerment, responsible leadership ethics, regenerative urbanism, global public health, and/or multi-faith dialogue, among other topics, early on in their academic journey.
Programs aspire to fill gaps in education, which does not always offer students occasions to apply their studies in practical ways.
Three P’s animate the Certificate Programs: pragmatism; perseverance; and passion.
Each Certificate Program is innovative in its subjects and intensive in its experiences. Content delivery aspires to be accessible to youth learning in countries around the world.
Real time (2-hour Live Q & A sessions) and non-real time (40-minute video recorded presentations) interactions define the Certificate Programs in terms of creating sui generis cohorts. Over time, inclusive communities emerge, which serve to connect the younger generations in a transnational networked environment.
Each weekly course in a Certificate Program offers small group intensive and cooperative learning, customized placement and project opportunities, and live interactions with renowned professionals in their respective fields of study.
Using synchronous and asynchronous communications, as well as Live Q & A sessions with instructors, candidates in the Certificate Programs join a community of 21st century learners.
The competence and skills of these learners are developed through experiences that connect virtual (and eventual hybrid) local immersion field placements and encounters with the challenges highlighted in global conversations.
