Ruth Jean-Marie

Ruth Jean-Marie is a philanthropy consultant and freelance writer. Through her social impact businesses, The August Project and The August Consulting Group, she aims to do good, better, by building local capacity to address poverty and inequality worldwide. With the realization that poverty not only stunts development, but also limits the imagination, her pursuit of poverty alleviation is fueled by her passion for creating space for imagination to thrive in underdeveloped countries. She has been featured in over one dozen publications such as Ebony and Blavity. Jean-Marie was also named an American Express Founder of Change and Forbes Next 1000. She has lended her expertise to Nike, Lyft, Verizon, and the NYC Department of Health just to name a few.
