Specific objectives of the Sérgio Vieira de Mello Chair at UFG:
– disseminate university education on topics related to refuge
– promote academic training and training of teachers and students within the theme
– increase the amount of direct work with refugees in community projects
– allow access and permanence to education, the revalidation of diplomas , as well as teaching the Portuguese language to the refugee population.
– strengthen the International Protection of Refugees
– encourage interdisciplinary investigations on the topic
– promote the formation of the field of international refugee law.
