Edward Ablang

Edward Ablang facilitates partnership outreach and development at Lead Impact. In his capacity as Program Associate for the Certificate in Religion and Politics at the United Nations, Leadership, and Multi-Faith Dialogue, Edward brings research and practical depth in this area of study. He holds a Masters in Religion, Ethics, and Politics from Harvard University and a Masters in International Relations from New York University. As a religion and politics specialist, Edward has worked at UNESCO, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and Religions for Peace. His work accomplishments include the launching of a religion and mediation course in collaboration with the Center for Security Studies at ETH Zürich, the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland and the UN Department of Political Affairs. He also prepared the first ever roundtable of UN officials and religious leaders as well as realized the first delegation visit of East Libyan tribal leaders to meet the UN Security Council and the U.S. government officials. Previously, he trained abroad as a missionary cleric based in Florence, Italy, with fieldwork assignments across the U.S. and Europe. Edward also holds a Certificate in Philosophy and Theology from St. John’s University in New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics (Latin and Greek languages) and Music from the University of Pittsburgh.
