This Initiative is developing as a partnership between the University of Cagliari and the Universidade Federal de Goias, Catedra Sergio Vieira de Mello, to offer training in Italy for a group of master’s degree students and university administrative staff to be deployed subsequently to Brazil.  The launch of good practices in training additional students and refugees on a peer-to-peer basis occurs to recognize qualifications in study as well as to grant access to university education and training on specific topics useful to integrate refugees in academic and professional life. 

This Initiative is funded by a grant titled ” Cooperation and Education for Refugees Through a P2P Experience. A Bridge of Solidarity between Sardinia and Brazil. The grant project has the following objectives. First, refugee training is to be provided, including recognition of academic qualifications, refugee access to education, promotion of good practices in the recognition of qualifications, and access to university courses. In addition, the promotion of academic training for teachers as well as student training on the topic of international refugee protection is envisaged. Moreover, a longstanding goal is to promote training in the field of international protection and the exchange of good practices among different institutions.
