Krasimir Trufev

Krasimir Trufev is chairman of NGO “Leaders of the Future”, entrepreneur, and experienced manager. He has more than 10 years of long track record of project writing developing and managing. He works in renewable energy projects, real estate, charity, and fundraising campaigns.


Trufev has more than 10 years of senior management positions in world corporations and local Bulgarian and Romanian companies. He worked in 2006, 2007 and 2008 in the USA, Hampton NH, during his study of business administration at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo. Then, he finished his master’s degree in accountancy. In 2019 he completed the political academy “Burov” and visited twice the EU parliament for a meeting with Bulgarian members of the EU parliament to discuss the Bulgarian future and role in the EU. Also, he served as a deputy chairman of the municipal structure in Veliko Tarnovo of the party “Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria”. Also, he was part of the establishment of the local youth organization “Democrats for Strong Bulgaria in Veliko Tarnovo”.


Since 2022 with the establishment of the NGO “Leaders of the Future”, He has been developing projects for education and workshops on topics such as democratic values, civil participation issues advocacy, youth training and education, etc. The work of the NGO is to connect US and EU universities, NGOs, and SMEs through various projects under the EU programs HORIZON, LIFE, ERASMUS AMIF, INTERREG DANUBE RIVER, INTERREG Bulgaria – Romania, Interreg EURO-MED. “Leaders of the Future”, aims to empower the next generation with the knowledge and tools they need to become active and responsible citizens. One of the key initiatives of our NGO is connecting individuals from different countries to share their experiences and approaches to solving local community problems. We believe that learning from successful examples abroad can inspire local communities to take action and apply those solutions in their contexts. By hosting workshops, seminars, and forums, we create spaces where young leaders can engage in meaningful discussions about the role of citizens in shaping democracy.
