Lysandra Diaz
Lysandra Diaz is a dedicated professional with a passion for humanitarian efforts and disaster response. A proud Latinx UCR alumna, she currently serves as the American Red Cross Disaster Program Manager for Riverside County.
Lysandra holds a Master’s in Science in Global Affairs from NYU, where her thesis examined feminicide rates in Mexico and their profound impact on women’s empowerment. Through her work, she showcased the critical importance of empowering women—demonstrating that effective organizing is key to helping women reclaim agency in their communities.
Her academic background in human rights and international law, coupled with hands-on experience in disaster management, equips her with a unique perspective and skill set to address complex challenges in both crisis response and social justice.
